If Ku were to be tried in the U.S. with a top notched criminal defense lawyer, she would likely be acquitted. Acquittal does not mean she did not do it. It simply means that the prosecution fails to prove her guilt beyond reasonable doubt.  There are too many questions in this case, e.g. the govet has to explain why it overturns the initial forensic findings on the cause of death.
