This seems strange

Why do people have to eat it? Just do not buy if it is so expensive. I can live without it for years. In addition, it only takes a year to grow. In a real market based economy, this should not happen.

 

It can only happen if someone use others' money to buy regardless of the price or they believe that they can sell at a higher price. Regular people will not get hurt if they do not get involved.
