When they were the Sick Man of Asia, we called them Yellow Peril. When they are billed to be the next Superpower, we called them Threat. When they closed their doors, the Brits smuggled opium to Open Markets. When they were falling apart, we marched in our troops and wanted our fair share. When they were poor, we thought they were dogs. When they tried to put the broken pieces back together again, free Tibet, it was an Invasion! we screamed. When they tried Communism, we hated them for being Communist. When they embrace Capitalism, we hate them for being Capitalist. When they embrace Free Trade, we blame them for taking away your jobs. When they have a billion people, we said they were destroying the planet. When they tried limiting their population, we said they abused human rights. When they loan us cash, we blame them for our National Debts. When they build their industries, we call them Polluters. When they sell us goods, we blame them for Global Warming. When they buy oil, we call it exploitation and Genocide. But when US went to war for oil, we called it Liberation. When they were lost in chaos and rampage, we demanded rules of law. When they uphold law and order against violence, we call it violating human rights. When they were silent, we wanted them to have free speech. When they are silent no more, we say they are brainwashed-xenophobics. Why do you hate us so much, they asked. No, we answered, we don't hate you. We don't hate you either, they said. But, do you understand us? They ask. Of course we do, we said, They have AFP, CNN and BBC's... What do you really want from us? They ask. Think hard first, then answer... Because the World only gets so many chances. They said. Enough is Enough, Enough Hypocrisy for This One World. We all want One World, One Dream, and Peace on Earth. This Big Blue Earth is Big Enough for all of Us.
