　4月17日，玉树县结古镇天葬台。地震死难者的尸体在这里集体火化，喇嘛们把死者的遗物以及吉祥草、五谷杂粮等物品扔进火堆中一起焚烧。

　　30岁的达哇是一名中学教师，他70多岁的老母亲在地震中遇难，另外还有一个 18岁的侄女死在了玉树职业技术学校的废墟中。地震发生后，达哇还曾赶到学校参与救援，无奈侄女最终没有生还。

　　“我们迟早要走，每个人都要走，只是方法不同，时间观念不同而已。”达哇虽然对亲人的突然离开感到悲痛，但他尽量让自己心态平和。地震第二天，他就把死去的亲人遗体送到了寺院，他说，他们全家都是佛教徒，都相信来世。

　　达哇的父亲在他上初中时去世，葬礼是采用天葬。“这是将我们的身体回馈给自然，头发指甲都不留下。”达哇觉得这次母亲和侄女能够采用僧人才用的火葬，已经是一种福分。
