户口 was handled by the 公安 system, but my records at Fudan etc were based on the information I provided. I of course always provided the right information, that was why Fudan etc had the right BD information. As for the passport, I filled in the application form with my correct BD information, the 公安 system did not check the information against their records before they issued an passport to me, that was why my passport also carried my correct BD information.
