Steroids? No way! That's very out of date, that's something only poorer countries' athletes take - and get caught. But I agree Phelps is not clean. Probably his competitors aren't either though, but the question is what does Phelps take and what his competitors take and are we really witnessing a swimming competition or a competition of medicine? Unfortunately I think the latter.

If you think I'm jealous or something: no, I'm just a realist and I'm not naive. Angel Heredia has been the doping dealer of American star athletes for years. Now he has packed out for Germany's Der Spiegel. He said ALL top athletes are doped. Athletics, swimming, cycling are not to save any more in his opinion.

The most modern drugs are not detectable for doping controllers. The doping business is a race in itself, the doping makers are always one step ahead of the controllers. If not for whistleblowing we wouldn't know is about Marion Jones & Co. either...

So don't be so naive about Phelps either. What he does is impossible without doping. You can say if he is doped and others are doped too, it's all fair after all, but I'm afraid it's not that simple, because if he has better drugs then that gives him an unfair advantage.
