Western society and equality

The idea of equality unlike the past is that it gets rid of nobility and royalties. Everyone is equal like the greek city states, there are unrest and rebellions. However, the west has two ways of showing respect to leadership, one is religion god is above all so we are not all equal and 2 capitalism class differences, where the rich has power and it is not equal leading to trump a businessman with wealth and money winning the american election. However the idea of equality leads to social rights where people according to law become a show trial where the so called people public opinion become the law where those on the bottom as a mass can dictate the law.
