When I am down  沉沦之时

and, oh my soul, so weary; 我心憔悴；

When troubles come 磨难降临

and my heart burdened be; 孤苦难支；

Then, I am still 以至木然

and wait here in the silence,  心似枯槁，

Until you come 直至君临

and sit awhile with me. 与我同席。

You raise me up, 蒙君提携，

so I can stand on mountains; 余登巅峰；

You raise me up, 因君抬举，

to walk on stormy seas; 乘风破浪；

I am strong, 我心强健，

when I am on your shoulders; 立于君肩；

You raise me up: 蒙君提携，

To more than I can be. 余始自新。

There is no life - 众生皆有

no life without its hunger; 种种渴望；

Each restless heart 不息之心

beats so imperfectly; 苦苦挣扎；

But when you come 惟当君临

and I am filled with wonder, 余历辉煌，

Sometimes, I think 甚而吾思

I glimpse eternity. 余睹永恒。
