这次对“人虫”的“再说”，由三个“虫”组成， 即斯琴高娃主演的《媒虫郝大姐》，刘金山主演的《戏虫金二》，孙浩主演的《车虫小宋》。 每个单元六集。这批“虫”与上一批虫的相同之处在于，仍然是为小人物作传，生动细致地表现小人物的成长，重笔大书小人物的心路历程，不同的是“虫”的队伍 中，一改清一色须眉，加入了两位巾帼女性。

斯琴高娃称这次主演“媒虫郝大姐”是一次令她“终身难忘的合作”。李丁、林默予、盖克、沙景昌、冯雷、杜澎、 施建岚、张小燕、陈莉、柳健、颜丙燕等观众熟悉的演员也加入其中，与斯琴高娃一起演绎这段人情故事。在《戏虫金二》 中，值得一提的是，在影视创作中一向处于中心地位的导演们，在《戏虫金二》 中当起了配角–蔡晓晴、何群、英达、 郑晓龙、吴子牛、张建栋、穆德远、斗琪等著名导演，将在剧中出演他们的本行一“戏中戏”里导演。虞梦、王斑、李楠、 张绍荣、薛磊等也参加主演，张铁林友情出演“戏中戏”里的皇上。
