Laura Pausini was born in Solarolo, in the province of Ravenna (Italy), 16 May 1974. Laura won San Remo Festival in the young category and she became the protagonist of the Italian and European hit parades with her first CD: "Laura Pausini".

Already a star in Europe, singer Laura Pausini guns for points west with Enlgish album, Celine Dion was wildly successful peddling a similar set of gauzy, adult-pop ballads aimed straight at the heart.
