Sissel Kyrkjebo，挪威著名的女歌手，於1969年出生於挪威，4歲時就參加兒童合唱團，並開始在挪威電視台多次露面。她16歲開始出第一張唱片，以其空靈清澈的音色踏入歌壇超過10年。

Sissel，這個總是低調經營著自己的美麗女人，每一次的出擊都會讓那些熱戀中的人們歡呼。天籟的嗓音，神秘的北歐氣質，唯美的旋律，熾熱並真摯地唱著關於愛情的點點滴滴，一瞬間就讓你懷想起那些甜蜜和浪漫的章節來。

Sissel Kyrkjebo現在已經是北歐斯堪的那維亞地區家喻戶曉的天后，在家鄉挪威450萬人口中，她的5張唱片銷售累計超過200萬張。

1994年在挪威舉辦的冬季奧唛_幕儀式，即由她演唱開幕曲"Firenoureart"，令多少人激情蕩漾，熱血沸騰。她以母語演唱，同時夾雜英語拉丁語，風格酷似愛爾蘭靈妙女聲Enya。她曾應邀和多明哥（Placidoomingo）於維也那合唱，尤其不可思議的是，她的音樂融合古典、福音、爵士與流行。

此張唱片灌錄於2007年，在管弦樂團的伴奏下，Sissel演唱了多首風格不同的歌曲，其中第十首係與著名男高音José Carreras的合唱曲；最後一曲Going Home，熟稔的旋律彷彿一位故人重逢，回環往復娓娓訴說著……

Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebo is a star in her home country and has enjoyed wide popularity in the U.S. for her rich soprano and her ability to navigate deftly between classical music and lighter pop fare. This holiday album ties in with a much-viewed PBS special of the same name, featuring spine-tingling renditions of Christmas classics as well as more obscure fare, like the ethereal "Icelandic Lullabye" and the folky "Sarah's Song."
