Sizing Up VIX Expiration

With January expiration quickly approaching for VIX options and futures, the window of opportunity for any expiration plays is at hand. Those wishing to place some type of bet heading into next Wednesday should be surveying the volatility landscape in an attempt to identify any alluring opportunities. In my own efforts to tactically position myself over the next week I’m facing a bit of a dilemma as I believe both the bullish and bearish viewpoints have merit.
