Orbit/FR Inc., which builds microwave test and measurement systems, said Wednesday it recently received several large international orders worth about $12 million.
That’s a little more than half of the company’s total revenue in 2008, which was $23.1 million. It’s also more than Orbit’s revenue in any of the first three quarters of last year.
The Horsham company didn’t specify the quarters in which it would account for the revenue from the orders.
Orbit said the orders included one for a large, heavy-duty outdoor antenna measurement system and another for a compact range antenna measurement system, both of which will be installed in Asia.
Orbit is publicly traded, but Satimo SA of Courtaboeuf, France, owns about 62 percent of it. When Satimo bought Orbit in March 2008, it formed the Microwave Vision Group, comprising itself, Orbit and Advanced ElectroMagnetics Inc., which Orbit bought in 2007.
