Orbit/FR Inc. said it booked a record $7 million worth of business in the third quarter, including a contract from a major U.S. customer it didn't identify for a turnkey antenna/radome measurement system. Horsham-based Orbit said the system can characterize the electromagnetic performance of various types of antennas and the performance of the radomes that enclose them. (Radomes are the dome-shaped housing used to protect antenna without modifying their electromagnetic radiation.) The system is scheduled to be completed by next August.
