浪漫怀旧的电影'42年夏天'音乐(Summer of '42)

这部电影描述第二次大战期间的1942年夏天，在某一个度假海岛上，住着一位丈夫赴海外参战的美国二十二岁的美丽少妇Dorothy。一个邻居的少年Hermie青春萌动，一开始就被Dorothy的风情所迷倒，终于寻机跟她交上了朋友。一天，Dorothy收到了一封电报通知她丈夫的死讯，震惊与悲痛击倒了她。少妇知道少年的心事，仿佛少年是她战死的丈夫，两人春风一度，第二天一早，她就远离他乡，只留下一张纸条，温和的告诉少年不要会错意了，他们之间不可能有任何的发展和结果。

这是一部十分浪漫迷人的怀旧电影，那种懒洋洋的夏日情调在优美的配乐下相当令人陶醉，导演罗伯特．马利根对少年人的性好奇心理亦描写得生动自然，演员珍妮佛．欧尼尔的表演也非常有魅力，其它演员加里．格兰姆斯等的演出也很出色。

Michel Legrand是当代最受推崇的电影配乐大师之一，以本片获得1971年奥斯卡最佳原作配乐。片中其实没有任何插曲，但是由于他的配乐主旋律非常优美，被Marilyn and Alan Bergman填上歌词，改编成the summer knows这首歌。并且被很多实力派歌手争相灌录成流行音乐的经典。
