这个催人泪下的故事
在这个悲伤的歌曲中
代复一代，年复一年地传诵着：

在大英帝国一个美丽而祥和的海岸小集镇，遍野长满芫荽、鼠尾草、迷迭香和百里香，四季有和风吹拂，那里就是 斯卡布罗。.....有个棒小伙子和一个可爱的姑娘热恋了，在这个到处长满百草和鲜花的小村庄，他们一起步入绿林深处和风吟唱，他们一起看白鸥海浪 沙滩渔船 潮来潮去，.... 他们憧憬着未来，勾画着着地久天长....，可是，一场战争爆发了，小伙子告别了心爱的姑娘上了战场，从此一别，天各一方。临别时，他答应过她，一定会回到姑娘的身旁，而她也含者喜泪答应他，一定会等着他的回来，建起那爱的小巢.....。................

然而无情的炮火夺去了小伙子的生命，他再不能回到朝思暮想的斯卡布罗了，再不能与他心爱的姑娘一起享受生活的甜蜜了...

小伙子抱憾无尽，他牢记他离别姑娘时的许诺： 要回到姑娘的身旁...，于是他躯体虽然升了天堂，灵魂却长留大地，一遍一遍向路过他身边的行人反复 探问 拜托：

......“你到斯噶堡柔去吗？......

............

...她 就是 我的 真爱！......”
