 1951年3月4日出生的 Chris Rea，浪漫的歌声唱著淡淡的蓝调，是爱尔兰/意大利后裔。19 岁接触吉他，在充满阳光欢乐气氛的义大利小镇长大。73年递补的位置,加入摇滚团 Magdalene,乐团更名为 The Beautiful Loser 後虽赢得 Melody Maker 75年最佳新进奖,但未能启动乐团知名度, Rea 於77年离团单飞。

 Chris Rea　的迷人魅力就如同接受过历史、战火洗礼，吸引贵族、艺术家休憩的 Ibiza 一样，消弭文化、世代与类型音乐乐迷族群的界线，酥醉了2200万颗乐迷的心湖，流露唱作最悦耳的亲合力。
