【马友友的电影琴缘】专辑中，颜尼欧·莫利克奈重新为自己跨越半世纪的电影音乐创作重新编排全新的管弦乐编曲，莫利克奈保留了原乐章的结构，同时为马友友的大提琴编排乐章情绪的切入点，让马友友跟他的大提琴有最精彩的挥洒与表达的空间。而马友友在演绎过程中一再地赞叹这些旋律带给他的震撼与内心的非凡感动，在这样的心情下，马友友捕捉莫利克奈旋律的情感，不但与旋律本身演出精采的对位，更释放出如慕如诉戏味十足的琴音，无论是「教会」里那种哀莫大于心死的慨叹，还是「黄昏三镖客」中紧绷的江湖霸气，我们彷佛又笼罩在莫利克奈那种揉合意大利豪迈情怀与前卫音乐的创作思维的空间，并再次体验到电影音乐捕捉影像灵魂的精髓。而大提琴音特有的音色，更为每首曲子增添了深入内心的浪漫伤怀。
