魔戒三部曲原声大碟:

写下全球一亿万本销售纪录，次于圣经的畅销著作《指环王》，继首部曲《魔戒现身》，以及第二部的《双城奇谋》后，第三部《王者回归》亦于12月17日全球上映。　　

以《沉默的羔羊》、《入侵脑细胞》、《费城》、《变蝇人》、《火线追缉令》等片扬名好莱坞的加拿大电影音乐家howard shore（霍华休尔）2001年首度以《魔戒首部曲-魔戒现身》入围奥斯卡，就抱回一座最佳电影原著音乐金像奖，攀登电影音乐生涯的最巅峰，作品同时掳获美国广播影评人学会、洛杉矶/芝加哥/拉斯维加斯影评人学会最佳原著音乐奖，也得到金球奖、英国影艺学院、美国电影学院afi的电影音乐项目提名。　　

《魔戒首部曲-魔戒现身》里，休尔揉合交响乐与歌剧手法，运用远古时代精灵族与鬼魅族的歌声，并广泛采撷非洲、印度、居尔特等世界音乐素材精心酝酿出新世纪的魔幻史诗。

《王者回归》依旧由加拿大电影配乐家howard shore（霍华休尔）执掌兵符，以神圣壮阔的大合唱揭开这段冒险传奇史诗，并从擅长的惊悚气氛堆积功力之中，释放出耸动、憾人的宏伟气势，激荡一波又一波的磅礴狂潮。随着影片的辽阔视野与浩然排场，扬起个人创作生涯最具野心的英雄交响诗。一向喜以爱尔兰民情乐风丰润影片所需的传奇色彩，以及丰富古典乐神秘、柔美、威武、哀凄音质的shore邀来了美国著名女高音renee fleming、传奇女歌手annie lennox、长笛演奏家james galway为本片配乐润色。
