CALL OF THE MYSTIC Karunesh continues his explorations of spirituality and Asian mysticism with his third release for Real Music - CALL OF THE MYSTIC. The multi-instrumentalists flair for melodies that are lightly rhythmic, a tad melancholic and focused on Asian instruments like bansuri flute, tabla and Indian violin once again in showcased with this album of dreamy sonorities. The overall sound and feel of the album is very similar to what you've heard on his previous albums for Real Music; no surprises here, just quality meditation music.

GLOBAL SPIRIT GLOBAL SPIRIT is a showcase for the tried and true musical formula of Karunesh. With an arsenal of different instruments at his disposal (flutes, drums, sitar, didgeridoo, violin, synthesizers), the artist concocts spirited tunes that range from quiet, Asian-hued and introspective to celebratory tribal dance anthems. The latter can be felt in the happy energy of the African-themed "Kubula Ma" and the mystical dance beats of "Bombay Pure." Chants and panflutes commingle in moody trancescapes on "Native Rituals" and "Earthsong" (which is repeated later on the CD as a reprise) evokes a sense of peace and connection with the earth.
