朝鲜民谣旋律优美，音调清越，颇得外国人青睐,代表有《阿里郎》，《道拉基(桔梗谣)》，《诺多尔江边》等 朝鲜族民歌《桔梗谣》，又名《道拉基》。“道拉基”是朝鲜族人民喜爱吃的一种野菜，即桔梗。这首朝鲜民歌最初产生于江原道，后流传全朝鲜半岛。歌词不一，曲调平缓流畅。传说道拉基是一位姑娘的名字，当地主抢她抵债时，她的恋人愤怒地砍死地主，结果被关入监牢，姑娘悲痛而死，临终前要求葬在青年砍柴必经的山路上。第二年春天，她的坟上开出了紫色的小花，人们叫它“道拉基”（“桔梗”的朝鲜文）花，并编成歌曲传唱，赞美少女纯真的爱情。每年春天，朝鲜妇女结伴上山挖桔梗，由于她们平日按习俗不得出门，因此在外采集桔梗时这首歌也表达了一种愉快的心情。《桔梗谣》音乐轻快明朗，生动地塑造了朝鲜族姑娘勤劳活泼的形象。
