so you were going through the college entrance exam in the year of 89. You must be in your mid 30es. I would like to provide you with a few different perspectives:

1. if 64 is forever defined just as a riot, the students who sacrificed their lives will be forever labeled as contra-revolutionaries(means they betrayed their country and people!). have you ever look at things from their families perspective? The students had no bad intentions; their ideal of democracy and anti-corruption was progressive!

2. if Wan indeed were like what you said who were exploiting the students for his own personal agenda, he could have easily gone back and be a respected official somewhere. Maybe even a successful buz man. The only thing he had to do is to admit the nature of 64 was indeed contra-revolutionary.

3. so now, the question is, who stood up for the value of deceased students? ---------certainly not people who whined about the difficulties they had to go through because 64, no matter how big or small that whine is.

did you hear Wan whine?
