雨中，雨打着车的天窗缓行在上班路上。收音机里讲了一个忧伤的老电影，放了一首忧伤的老歌，一个情节很老套的故事。
　
罗拉和汤米是一对恋人，他们就要结婚了，汤米想送给罗拉结婚戒指和漂亮的花，可是汤米没钱，无奈下，汤米只有重操旧业。汤米是个飚车手，并以此为生，但当他遇到罗拉时，就没有再飚车了。
　　
汤米看见了一个告示，是一次飚车比赛的告示，奖金是一千元。时间正好是他和罗拉结婚的那天，汤米决定去，他一定会赢的，为了罗拉。他打电话给罗拉，罗拉不在。接电话的是罗拉母亲，汤米说：告诉罗拉我爱她，告诉罗拉我需要她告诉罗拉我可能很迟我在做某件事情得过一会才能和她完成婚礼弯曲的跑道里，汤米疯狂地驾驶他的汽车，他的脑子里只有两个字：罗拉，罗拉……他在那里是最年轻的驾驶者，也是最疯狂的赛车手，他越过一个又一个的对手。在一个弯曲的跑道上，再一个转弯就到终点了，汤米始终在最前面，可是，没有人知道那天发生的事情，也没有人知道他的汽车是如何结束-汽车在火焰中飞快的转着。
　　
当人们从汽车的残骸抬起了汤米，藉由他的垂死呼吸，他们听到他说：
告诉罗拉我爱她，告诉罗拉我需要她，告诉罗拉不要哭，我的爱为她而永从不消失......
　　
罗拉在教堂里坐立不安，她从母亲的嘴里，知道汤米为了她跑去赛车，等了很久，汤米还没回来，罗拉心里很不安，她决定去赛车场看看。
　　
罗拉穿着结婚礼服，疯狂地跑向赛车场，罗拉来的正是时候，当她踏进赛车场的时候，汤米的赛车正好翻了过去，一片模糊的泪光，挡住了罗拉的眼睛，红红的火焰，似乎正在燃烧着罗拉的心，罗拉昏了过去。
　　
迷糊中，听到汤米沉重而微弱的声音在她耳边，轻轻地说着：告诉罗拉我爱她，告诉罗拉我需要她，告诉罗拉不要哭，我的爱为她而永从不消失。
　　
汤米死了，但他还活在罗拉的心中，她能听到他的话语：告诉Laura我爱她， 告诉Laura我爱她… （zt）
