Also, the speech is not as inflammatory as many people wanted. I think what Chinas has been wisely doing is action and not necessarily rhetoric. For instance China countered the proposed US/South Korean military exercise with its own military exercise with live ammunitions.  Who knows what other secret military maneuvers China has been conducting that could possibly deter the US.
