I again cannot agree. Market mechanism is not penacea and unless you can prove market failure under some circumstances, it is still the best way to allocate resources. At any rate, planned economy has proved to be one of the most disastrous failures of mankind. It destroyed welfare to the extent that is worse than wars. The recent movement of alliances or hybrid mode of organization are alternative mechanisms that allocate resources beside market. Acturally, there are many elements in the so called "planned economy" in China which are more capitalism than most captalist countries.
