Petropavlivka Around 11:00 PM on Sunday night,the Russian Federation dropped three KAB-250 guided glide bombs on the center of Kramatorsk, seriously injuring nine people. The presence of UMPK modules in the remnants of those bombs, which transformed them from old Soviet-era FABs into modern guided glide bombs with 250 kg of explosives each, confirmsthe intent to target with extreme precision the heart of the most densely populated city in Donbas, still controlled by the Ukrainians.
From early the next morning,the Russians also overwhelmed nearby Kostiantynivka in the same way, killing three civilians and injuring at least twice as many, after having launched identical bombs at its government buildings and many private homes.Reaching that city proved impossible since, in addition to a large part of Kostiantynivka, nearly all primary and secondary roads to access it are under constant Russian artillery fire.
Not far from there,the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to inflict heavy losses on their enemies,forcing them to retreat on the Pokrovsk front after encircling themas described on these pages on Saturday.
On their side,the Russians are responding with identical brutality to the fierce military setbacks suffered on the northern flank of Sumy, where the ZSU have gained more ground, pushing them back as far as Kostiantynivka, i.e. on the officially recognized border between Ukraine and Russia.
Launchinga massive missile attack on agricultural facilities in Sumy, the Russian Armed Forces injured 12 Ukrainian civilians during the crop harvest on Sunday evening and damaged about thirty pieces of equipment, including tractors, combine harvesters, and trucks.
As proof of theirruthless retaliation against civilian targets, a few hours earlier, they had attacked the Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection in the center of Sumy with a drone, being it the oldest surviving stone monument of national importance and a symbol of the city.
Similarly, in neighboring Kharkiv oblast,the Russian Air Force struck the residential neighborhood of Borova with guided aerial bombs and multiple launch rocket systems just as evacuation efforts were underway, killing one civilian and wounding at least two others as they were fleeing from the rubble of their homes.
Following the fires caused by thoseinhumane attacks on helpless targets, other evacuees and volunteers were seriously hurt in the hours afterward. Even in the eastern parts of that region, the Russians had just faced losses at the front afterthe Ukrainians neutralized some of their raiders and saboteurs trying to cross gas pipelines on electric scooters to get closer to Kupiansk, following their actions at Avdiivka and Sudzha.
It is important to deny the news of this attempted break-in, because once again, some Italian newspapers yesterday reported it as successful despite having no correspondents on the scene. These reports came fromsmall groups of Russian DRGs, which for days had been trying to establish checkpoints inside four disused pipelines in order to bypass the Oskil Riverby entering it at Lyman Pershyj, hoping to escape alive at Radkivka. Although three of those four branches were damaged and flooded, and the exit of the fourth was under full control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, who were patrolling and conducting counter-sabotage operations, headlines like Invaders emerge from the pipeline Ukrainians surprised in Kupiansk have led Italians to reiteraterumors spread by the Deep State, similar to those Alla Perdei and I recently denied from Dobropillia and Sumy (see the video down here????????).
Denying those claims as well, the Ukrainian General Staff quickly confirmed thatthere is no direct fighting with the Russians in Kupiansk.
However, it is true thatthe Russians continue to amass their troops on both that side and the Pokrovsk one Ecc, but they have yet to break through. The frustration at failing to leverage a trump card built up over years of effort in the Western information and political sphere, is clear even at the highest levels of the Russian military. Suffice it to say that even in the border areas of the Chernihiv oblast from which they were pushed out, the Russians are now heavily attacking Ukrainian civilians with drones and artillery, and then dropping thousands of leaflets shaped like 100-hryvnia bills,inviting residents to provide coordinates for attacks on those defensive positions they cannot breach.
