It is very nice town and safe. You can visit chic-hen Itza maya ruin for one day, and Xcaret theme park for one day and hangout in the town for one day.
other sites near around are not must-see places. You may stay in a all inclusive resort near around for a week to get better room and food compared With staying in the town.
