peasants and farmers followed Mao & CCP

They followed Mao & CCP because they believe the dream CCP gave them. Just like the movie "enemy at the gate" - give them hope and they will fight for you. But after that, who's gonna care about them? - nobody. And the dream is just a dream. Look now who has the land? The nation? The people? No, a few people who have the power, nothing has changed.
