韩国战史中这样记载，“美军7师同第2师并肩作战，进攻并占领‘三角’高地。然而因敌顽强反击，截止25日的12天内，先后投入9个营作战，伤亡2000多人，战斗演变成持久战，因而将美7师防线交给了韩第2师。结果，第2师单独担负了中部前线要地的进攻。
