The problem with the book, whether in English or Chinese, is that it mixes the truth with "not so truth". We won't know which is which until we have read the original manu written by Dr. Li. There was no denying that Li was Mao's "private" doctor. We have seen a lot of Li's photos taken with Mao.
Chang Jung's Mao book was so evident. Believe what you want to believe. It is not worth rebutting.
