几十年来，中国人截枝(篡改意思）美国政客一段话，形容美国人说在朝鲜与中国打仗, 打错了：

“我们在错误的时间，错误的地点，同错误的对手打了一场错误的战争”。

 

布莱德雷将军的那段话是在1951年5月15日在美国参议院军事外交委员会前作证的声明，话题是在韩的联军总司令麦克阿瑟主张将韩战战事扩大至中国一事，原文是： 

1.  如果我们把战争扩大到共产党中国，“那么我们会被卷入到一场错误的时间，错误的地点, 同错误的对手打的一场错误的战争中。”
