请教数学跳级

大家新春快乐！又来请教大家，孩子现在4年级，要决定下学期要不要数学跳级，跳级后的课程安排如下：

5^th grade –  advanced math

6^th grade –  Algebra 1 

7^th grade – Honors Geometry

8^th grade – Honors Algebra 2Honors accelerated Pre-Calculus

9^th grade – Honors accelerated Pre-Calculus Calculus BC

10^th grade – Calculus BC 

11^th grade – Multivariable Calculus

12^th grade: Her only option is AP Statistics. (This is a great class, but it puts her with no Calculus for a year before entering college.)

老师的信是这么说的：I just want you to ask yourself, why does XX need to end his high school career with Multivariable Calculus as a junior? Many universities will only take credit for Calculus 1 and 2 for students who finish AP Calculus BC with an acceptable AP score. Every university is different depending on the school and the major.

我们是不想他跳的，不准备数学竞赛，只是周围中国人都热衷跳级，他有同学去年就已经跳过了，今年有一大波准备考跳级考试。

请问老师意思是AP Statistics大学里不算credit所以没意义？看上去好处只有多修一门AP课，提高GPA。孩子现在挺轻松，但是确实是普通娃，不知道跳了之后到高中会不会压力太大。
