It left an empty space in her heart. She has been desperately trying to get that empty space filled ever since.
She needs to realize that and no one can fill that empty space, only her parents could and should have done it.
She can try to fill that empty space by loving herself.
An almost impossible task. She has to replace many of her reflexes in her mind. She has to be willing to be responsible for herself, which many just cannot.
Until then, all are just her wishful thinking. If she is willing to pay the price, having hope makes a life worth living.
