I don't know if it is too late for you to do this. After I got a stop sign ticket, I went to the court. The prosecutor called me and we talked outside of the courtroom before the court started. He offered me 3 months probation and $130 fine, plus taking defensive driving course. If I have no violation in 3 months, then the ticket won't go on record. I negotiated for 2 months probation, he agreed. And it didn't show on my record.
