Help! Car accident

I live NY. I had car accident some days ago. when the taffic light was green, and I went straight, other gay make left turn. my car hit other guy's car. I already got police report(They said is same as me.) But other cgay's insurancecompany said I should take 50% resposibility. Can I sue them, and let them take 100% resposibility?
