Experts: How to select an attorney?

I'll need to hire an attorney in Denver to nail the company down, twist their arms and get my money paid. I checked on line, and found a list of large business law firms. I tried to contact Co Bar Association to get those lawyers credentials, but not much help. Co lawyer referral service is only dealing with small firms. So what is the best practice to locate a credited business lawyer there?
