Property division

Just to correct some posts above, "fault" or "no-fault" does not directly translate into half-half split. Property division at divorce is a separate issue from how to get a divorce, although the latter is a factor for the former. Property is generally subject to equitable division.

By the way, the primary goal of civil law is not necessarily to enforce social morality.
