There are two immunities for a married couple: marriage immunity and spousal immunity. Marriage immunity protects any communications, verbal or conduct between married couples. Spousal immunity protects one spouse to testify against the other spouse. These are qualified immunities, e.g., it cannot be used to perpetrate a crime.

These immunities may or may not be recognized by states.

Under common law, there is parent-child immunity but it is abolished by most states. There may be one or two states still recognize it but most states will not.
