which state are you at? you might be able to try Trail by Declaration if it is allowed. If allowed, then write a letter about the situation and usually the cop will be asked to write a letter back to explain her side of the story. there is a good chance that she might just let it go instead of writing back. Search for TBD and you might find some sample letters.
