I had been run into by a truck, and he did a runner.

This accident happened on a round-about, my car was stationary on a red traffic light, in the middle lane. The truck was in the left lane, slow moving. He suddenly wanted to change lane, without looking, drove to the side of my car. He realized what happened, and quickly disappeared.

I got his reg number, and reported to the police straight away. I then took some pictures of the damages of my car, and talked to my insurance company.

The police wouldn't do a criminal investigation, because nobody injured or died. My insurance company contacted his insurance company, the offender blankly denied the accident. My insurance company then presented the photos I had taken, they settled for half-and-half for the repairment costs.
