about agent rebate

First time buy a house,find a Chinese agent,my friends told me ,buyer agent should give me some commition rebate.The agent agree give rebate.
the money have any law problem?
Before this chinese agent,contact a U.S.A agent,but not sign a contract.she take us see 6 houses in two days.if I change to the Chinese agent,have any law problem?
