Can you leave the kids to your hu*****and for a few weeks and go back to China by yourself? When doing this, you should consult a lawyer to make sure that your hu*****and won't charge you of "deserting" the kids.

I think, if your hu*****and does not want you take your kids out of US, you just cannot, even if you have the passport.
