Forgetting to bring car insurance...

Violation charged
1) FmFR - No insurance. Required to appear in court.

I have insurance but forget to bring it with me, and need to appear in the court. I also have a clean record so far. What consequence it will be if I can show my insurance during the court? Should I hire a lawyer to present my case and how much it costs? Thanks for your advice.
