求救：being fired

老板想 fire 我。原因是：发表文章没有经过他同意(publication release form)，想去别的公司作talk 未经过他同意（他和我谈了一下，我并没有去）。


我想这里有三个选择:
(1) Being fired.
(a)这样留下了坏记录.
(b)没有unemployment benefit from state. I am in NJ, I heard that in most cases, people can still get

(2) I quit before he fire me. ( Is it equal to "resign"?)
Bad thing, no unemployment benefit from state.

(3) Being laid-off.
Best, but I am afraid that the boss will not do this.
