--welcome to USA, this is very normal, my neighbor had heartattact, two days in a region hospital in Southeast charged him over 20,000 bucks.

I think u should talk to ur insurance again, they r profesional to bargain with these medical service. my case manager is excellent, he has helped me to save thousands.
