no finger print on green card

Hi All,

My son just turned into 15 years old. He got his green card after he was 14 without finger print on it. We decide to re-new his greencard, but he has to go back to China now for a short visit. Do you think he will have any troubles when he is back to US. I appreciate your any experience.
