CD has interests, you'll need to report it next year

If you open the CD account this year, you need to report the interest income next year when you file tax return for 2007. You will receive a 1099-INT form from the bank with the amount of interest earned. The tax form has line items for interest income. Just read next year's form instruction, pretty straight forward.
