打赢了small claim court 的官司，怎么执行呢

I went to a small claim court and was rewarded more than 5000$. after his sentence, the court give me and the defendant a form, to arrange the payment method. But the defendant insist that he does not have money to pay me, therefore we cannot reach a payment agreement. Then we went to the court room, hoping the judge will give some solution. However, the guard ( police ) in the same court room say the judge has finished the case, and I will get his ruling in the mail, and that's all he can do with my case.

My question is that how can I have the court to execute the judge's ruling?
