ABOUT BACKGROUND CHECK

I have a friend.He was arrested because of the domestic violent. But the case finally was dismissed by the judge. However, he still had arrested record. He worry about whether it will affect his applying job since now many company will check employee;s background. Is anybody can give him any idea?
