煤气被关掉了，请求各位高见。谢谢！

I live in Manhattan uptown, rent a one-bedroom apartment, monthly rent is $1115. I got a high bill of gas(doubled)since August, but I used as before. I though the only reason is our building changed plumbing in August. I called conEdison on February 11, they checked my apartment, no leaking, then shut down the gas in my apartment.They went to the basement to see the meter, it was still working. So they shut down the gas of my apartment, locked it and put a red tag(pipe leak in House) there.
February 12, I faxed the red tag to the Company, 接下来，先后来了两个人，砸了墙，看了看，走了， 没修什么。我已经10天没有煤气。今天看见super,他说要需要3 个月的修理程序。请问，我可不可以请求租房公司减收一些房租，比如每月付$600-700, 我实在不甘心每月付全额，还过没有煤气的生活。各位有过经验的帮忙出些主意，我也愿意找律师来解决。谢谢！！！！
